A good cruise for the money, with limitations that I knew going in.

This cruise was on sale which was the main reason I booked. I've been on MSC before had had a good idea of what to expect. The ship is the oldest and the smallest in their fleet, so it does not have all the newest features. The ship was not originally built to handle the amount of passengers that it currently carries. Sometimes in the common areas it was a bit crowded, and that was with the ship at about 80% capacity. Remembering that the line is European and caters the that clientele, the food was good and well prepared but I thought bland. But I am told that is that way that it is preferred there. It's better to prepare food for 2000 people on the bland side so they can spice it up on their own, as compared to the other way around. We had an interior cabin which was small but adequate, once again we were going for price. The crew was very concerned about the cleanliness of everything and hand washing was encouraged everywhere. The entertainment was good. I am already looking for another cruise for next year. I did not do any shore excursions so I am only giving that a medium score. We went with several friends and we all had a good time.

Inside Stateroom

Small, but it's an interior room. What do you expect? Served it's purpose.

Port Reviews

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve

Weather was bad the day we were there so no excursions were happening, not the fault of the cruise line. Mother nature was in charge there. Looking forward to what the island will be in five to ten years time.
