I wanted to experience a new mega ship and this one seemed right. I have sailed Norwegian several times and always enjoyed it. So getting right to it:

Pros: beautiful decor and public areas. Food was very good overall and wonderful in the Specialty restaurants. Bars were plentiful. The two main shows, Kinky Boots and Choir of Man, were the best I have seen at sea. Staterooms were well designed and spacious enough. The crew was cheerful and enthusiastic. I really enjoyed the day at beautiful Great Stirrup Cay with drinks and food included in the package, if you had it.

Cons: Limited deck space due to the extensive areas taken up by teen activities: laser tag, VR games and race track. Smoking areas small, crowed and sad. Music on the decks seemed to be exclusively Cuban/Miami dance and very loud. Tiny, overly salty pool. Hot tubs always full of children. Daily activities basically trivia, bingo and spa/shopping seminars. No central elevators. There seemed to be extra charges for everything. Ports were lovely but only spending an evening in San Juan was a waste.

Balcony Stateroom

Nicely designed with good storage

Port Reviews

Miami

Easy to get to. Simple area parking for cars.

San Juan

Love San Juan. Hate arriving there at 5:30pm. The old town is marvelous. The coffee bars are legendary...

St. Thomas

Booked my own private, all day snorkel excursion to St John. Heavenly

Great Stirrup Cay

No pool but who cares? Gorgeous beach, plentiful food and drinks. Great relax day.
