Chose to go with 2 couples. Never cruised with Royal Caribbean, they had. Overall the cruise experience was good. Food can be hit or miss. Service is very good, everyone is friendly and helpful. I would chose RC again. We were in a balcony cabin. Plenty of closet space, cannot say the same for shower space, just adequate. Take your own soap and shampoo. The one push container in shower didn’t suds up. Only provided one towel set per person. One of the older, smaller ships but clean and maintained. Drinks were interesting to order. Each bar tender had his own version of Mai Tai. All were good, though. Still can’t decide if deluxe beverage package was worth it. If the red wine is over $ 12, you are charged the difference. Better wines were over $12. No package will cost you $2 for water when leaving for excursion. Two excursions were cancelled due to rough water(snorkeling) or high water (cave tubing). They don’t tell you until off the ship and down the pier (long walk) but good alternatives offered. However, it is not taken off your credit card, given as shipboard credit. My friend didn’t keep up with her onboard account and lost $44 when not spent.
See comments above. We were first cabin by front elevator and had no noise.
The “boxed” lunch is one slice each of ham and cheese sandwich on white bread with some chocolate cookie thing, and a bottle of water.
View All 418 Chacchoben Mayan Ruins ReviewsDecided to do this instead of taking 45 min ferry to mainland. I had been to Tulum twice. If you go, get a certified guide. Our guide was certified guide on island tour. He was excellent. Heartbreaking that all future cruises were cancelled after ours COVID 19. Their economy is 90% tourism. Too bad we only had 1.5 hours at beach, eat or beach? We chose eat, of course. It was a very interesting day.
