Embarkation: We arrived in the port of Detroit a little early and were pleasantly surprised that we were able to board despite being early. Once on board we were greeted by staff and were immediately given our room keys. We were not able to get into our rooms yet so we went into the lounge where the staff made us feel like we were at home. We were given drinks and shortly thereafter there was small finger sandwiches provided. The ship itself is beautiful. Very well decorated. The lounge is the main room with a small bar to sit and relax at.

Rooms: Overall the rooms are very nice, small but enough. There was a mini fridge with complimentary soda and there was water also. The beds were pushed together to make a queen bed that was very comfortable. Storage was a bit minimal but that was easy to live with. The bathroom was a good size, bigger than some we have been in on ships. Our room attendant was better than we could have imagined.

Excursions: This was our favorite part of the whole cruise. The boarding process seemed to go pretty seamless. All we had to do was pick our color ticket which designated our departure time and then we were called off the ship when the bus was ready for us. The shore excursion specialist was always available when we had questions and was very easily locatable. Every night there was a port review which told us all the next days excursions. This was very helpful and made us aware exactly what to expect and what time we should be ready the next morning. I have to say our favorite port was Quebec City. As this was our first time in Canada I had no idea Old Town was gorgeous. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable. Not just in Quebec City but in every other port as well. Another port that stuck out for me was Cleveland. When we docked we were skeptical but once we did the trolley tour we fell in love with the city and the guides were THE BEST!
