The reason we picked this particular cruise is that we had some points from the Casino from previous cruises which we used to pay for some of the cost, and we had heard about the new Celebrity Edge ship and wanted to try it. We went on December 29 2019 to Jan 5 2020 on an Eastern Caribbean Cruise.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Equinox on an Eastern Caribbean Cruise the previous March, so thought another Celebrity cruise would be nice, particularly over the holidays...
Big mistake.
Cabin Review
Edge Veranda Stateroom
Beautifully appointed cabin, spacious and very modern in design.
Fully automated AC and lighting controls, main cellphone charging station with variety of plugs, comfortable king bed and TV set up. Seating area was spacious and comfortable, bathroom was well designed and comfortable, well lit.
Veranda portion of room was highly automated with blinds and full sliding window to open this area to make the room larger and more spacious.
Port Reviews
Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
This was a great spot to leave from, Parking was hard to find, but it was Christmas. The parking lot was literally right across the street from the departure area.
San Juan
Same as always, didnt get off this time.
St. Maarten
We took a walk around off the ship. We were harassed by people at the shops wanting to sell jewelry etc. We went back to the ship after an hour. We had a drink at one of the bars just off the ship.
