We traveled on the Carnival Glory March 1-8, 2020. We flew in the night before and used Uber to get to the port in the morning. We got to the port at around 11:30, dropped off our luggage and it took about an hour before we made it inside and through security for boarding. We went up to the Lido Deck for a Guys Burger and a drink before heading to our room to drop off our carry on luggage.

The room key was in the mailbox outside the door. We had an interior room. It had plenty of space for everything and we stored our empty luggage under the bed. Aurelio was our cabin steward and did a great job keeping the cabin clean and stocked with fresh towels. We chose to have our room serviced in the mornings. Aurelio would also pop in and restock the ice bucket in the evening.

We left late from New Orleans so we were unable to watch the sights as we sailed down the river. We had a great dining room team and head waiter Gavin was hysterical. We had anytime dining and occasionally had to wait (group of 8) but mainly because we wanted to be seated in Gavin’s area. Food was good and the service was even better. I am not an adventurous eater and I even ordered off the kids menu one night.
