BACKGROUND INFORMATION

This was a fun, 3-day getaway to the Bahamas on the spectacular Harmony of the Seas! This was the first voyage of the Harmony out of her new home port of Orlando (Port Canaveral). For PC, it was a significant event to have the Harmony home ported there. Being her first voyage out of PC, we received a ceremonial send off with a 3 fireboat escort – water fountaining everywhere.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite with Balcony

Cabin GS

Category: GS (Grand Suite)

Room: 11660

As expected our room was available as soon as we boarded. Our stateroom keys and wow bands were waiting at the room (one key on the door, the rest on the bed).

The stateroom was a very spacious room, rivaling a small suite in a land-based hotel. There were separate bedroom and living room areas. The bedroom had a king size bed with separately controlled lamps on both sides of the bed. The bed was flanked with two good size stone-topped nightstands. There was a vanity area next to the bed with lots of drawers and storage. There was also a jewelry box on the stone-topped counter.

The living room had a sofa bed, armchair, and coffee table. There were a couple of end tables. While there was a lot of furniture, there wasn’t enough space for it all, and things kinda were stacked against each other. There was a dry bar with fresh fruit and a cheapy single cup coffee maker. Again, more storage that you could ever use, even on a long cruise.

The bathroom was spacious, but the space could have been used better. There was a skinny tub/shower that tapered down at the bottom. Saves water but nothing you would get in a family non-suite. There were double sinks and came with L’Occitane amenities (which we really like).

The balcony was spacious. There were two chair/loungers with a decent sized table. And a separate dining table for two (with space to spare).
