Normally we cannot book AmaWaterways in Germany. But in this Corona times, no American can board the ship. So the cruiseline worked together with a german Travel Agency and offered 5 day cruises on Rhine and Mosel. We combined two cruises, one heading north from Cologne/Germany to Amsterdam/Netherland. The following one from Cologne to Straßburg/France.
A wonderful ship, great crew, extraordinary food. Large cabins with balcony and nice destinations with small and big cities. Most in walking distances to the ship. Loved to cruise on the Mosel and the Middelrhine, with all the castles and wineries. Due to Corona the cities were not overcrowded and we had enough space for social distancing. Wearing masks onboard, was only for about 10 minutes per day, from cabin to public spaces and back, to the upper deck, or to restaurants. Desinfection stations throughout the ship, temperature measurement every day. For us it was a special experience, because 3 cruises were cancelled. Every couple had a table for 4. About 57 guests on board, perfect for us and enjoying the excellent service from the waiters. .You were allowed to bring your own bikes or take a bike from the ship for free. A perfect alternative in Coronatimes

a modern look, a french balcony and a balcony with 2 chairs and a small table. nice bathroom with all amenities from Elemis. Excellent quality from towels. Twice a day cabin service, perfect and during our restaurant visits.
walked into to the city and had a nice walk. But on monday almost every shop, cafe and restaurant was closed. Did not get one of the famous waffles or belgian french fries.
Took a walk to the city, the famous Market hall lost a lot of shops due to Corona. Outside it was too busy for us, no social distancing, went back to the ship on uncrowded streets and enjoyed the ship
it was a tour with a small train starting at the Cologne cathedral and driving through the city, 9 € per person
Nice tour with the cable car. Wonderful view above the wineries, up to a huge pavillion, used for weddings, and further to the huge Niederwald monument. Price 9 Euro per person and both directions, nothing for people with handycap, because you have to walk a lot of stairs up to the cable car
