We researched and studied for months before booking our honeymoon on the edge. Then we saved for 2 years to be able to do all the things we saw and believed off the marketing. Overall the ship was nice, crew was professional, and we could see the vision...but it all lacked execution.
We are young by cruising standards, we took advantage of all the techy stuff and did all the paperwork online to have the express check in, yet when we arrived it didn’t work. To Celebrity’s credit, the onboarding process was only 5 minutes, but when you’ve already spent the time to be ready it’s frustrating to repeat the process.
Upon arrival in our room we found it to be dirty; stains on our couch and floors, bathroom mirrors had toothpaste splatter and you could see the dried mist and water spots all over the inside of the shower glass. The staff did a full ‘spring cleaning’ once we complained, but even after that the couch was stained terribly and they admitted ordering a new one to be brought on. The staff also replaced a wall outside our room that was damaged and poorly repaired after I mentioned it in passing; which was a nice proactive step.
Nice shower head, nice bathroom, nice bed. Not a fan of the veranda, never again.
It was dirty, the standards are not on par with premium cruise lines or major hotels.
Cool storage, but poor layout for the desk/chair/table. Too small to fit chairs on the veranda or be out there with the doors closed - the inner doors are pointless.
Didn’t do an excursion and had one of the best beach days in years!
