We chose to do this cruise because we got a good offer through Chimu and it was a place we had always wanted to see. The ship is very comfortable and spacious. Our cabin on deck 5 was excellent. The bed was wonderful and we also had a lounge near the window. The storage was good and there were shelves and charging points in many locations. The bathroom was a decent size with a shower with a proper glass door which was great when it was rough. All the staff were incredible and always friendly and helpful. The upstairs lounge is very large with lots of seats in front of huge windows where you could watch the scenery and wildlife.

We ate all our meals in the main dining room on deck 6. We had allocated seats for dinner which was a buffet if it was expedition time for some guests or 4 course dinner at other times. Breakfast and lunch were buffets with a huge variety of great food. They cater for every taste. The food is excellent and the wait staff are wonderful!

We were very fortunate with great weather and only had a couple of days with some drizzle or fog or a little snow.mostly it was blue sky and sunshine but still very cold. Usually about zero to minus 5. We loved all the places we visited and going ashore in the zodiacs was wonderful. We saw lots of penguins, seals , whales, birds and orcas. The onboard lectures were outstanding and informative. The Drake passage wasn’t too bad the first time but rougher on the way back. We also visited the Falkland Islands for 3 days and loved it. Two of the days were spent at isolated islands that have amazing wildlife colonies.
