We chose this cruise because my husband and I had previously been on this boat and we knew our kids would love it.
We were travelling with a larger group, but we didn't do everything together so it honestly didn't matter that we were quite scattered around the boat. Originally we were all on the 5th floor with ocean view rooms. For a family of 5 they have VERY limited arrangements. Everyone else (4 other rooms total) got upgraded to a balcony before cruising. Because we have 5, we weren't able to move to another room. They have bunk beds that come down from the ceiling and those are limited to the 5th floor only. They did however credit us almost $300 to use on the boat because we couldn't upgrade. That was a pleasant surprise!
We had wanted to do a "parent" room-adjoined to a kid room-adjoined to another "parent" room- with our friends. That way, we all have SPACE!! 9 days with 5 people in less than 300 sq ft honestly scared the crap out of me!! However, this was seemingly impossible due to "free kids", someone needing to be 18 in each cabin(for booking purposes)room key issues, etc. The logistics and the price just didn't work for us.
