When choosing a cruise we knew what we wished to avoid: big cruise liners, crowded, bustling, with frequent queues, ports flooded with tourist. After digging up Internet we found Running on waves. I could not find a lot of review about it, so I decided to write one. It is only 18 cabins. And it is not a usual cruise line you are accustomed to but rather a private yacht, doing cruises. They have only several cruises a year so we had to adjust our schedule which was slightly uncomfortable, but manageable. At embarkation port we called the cruise director and were met by crew, who with no queues whatsoever (hurray!) brought us aboard. Cabin 5 is the best, but we liked our cabin 4 even more, since we did not need an extra sofa. Both of them are on the upper deck. Alas no cabin has a balcony, portholes are not openable. Fabrics and equipment – everything is in decent condition. No special dress code. At the restaurant you are not assigned to a table so you can sit wherever you want. Food was exceptional and exquisitely served! Thank you chef Ihor! Greetings from Beatrisa and Javier Garcia! Meals were a buffet and waiters were always there to assist. Among other we had fresh juice, fruits, seafood every day.

Beginning of June is the best time to visit Greece in our opinion. It’s all flowery, fragrant, green and fresh, not too hot and perfect for strolls. Not a single rain during the whole cruise. Excursions were not included but the Cruise Director gives all the information and can organize them for you.

One time the ship stopped on anchor on a good distance from the shore to let us swim there. That was a really nice. Approach to water is through the lowered apparel. The stuff set an inflatable slide to the ship side. My husband took some rides, but I refrained. Other guests also tried must-climbing and commended it. I took a massage, it was not masterly but still relaxing. There is a special pleasure to meet a dawn watching the sea and listening sails rustle, sadly not shared by my husband.
