Sail Date: Jul 2021

What a wonderful week that was! Our first cruise in almost eighteen months was a weeklong cruise around Bermuda on the beautiful Viking Orion. It is difficult to imagine a way the experience could be bettered.

This was our first cruise with Viking. We’re approaching forty cruises total, primarily on Cunard, Princess, HAL and similar lines. We were wowed by Viking’s approach, ship and service.

The Viking Orion, which I believe is the fifth ship in the series, was launched in 2018. She is truly a beauty. The understated luxury of her design is outstanding. There are antiques, artworks, and books scattered around the comfortable lobby “living room” and throughout the ship. On our cruise, due to COVID precautions, we were perhaps 40% full. Even imagining a full ship, I’m sure she would feel uncrowded.

Cabin Review

One of the best cabins ever. A wonderful bathroom with lots of storage and even more storage throughout. Beautiful, well-thought out and excellent fit and finish.

Port Reviews

Hamilton

Hamilton is always lovely. So nice being able to dock here

King's Wharf

Hot, boring, and on the far side of the island. However, the only place for large ships to dock in wonderful Bermuda
