We chose this cruise as it was one of the first luxury lines to reopen with a short itinerary.

It seemed to be good way to step back into cruising without extensive travel.

We had problems getting to Nassau, which was not the fault of Crystal. After that scare we had to be tested at Bahia Mar Convention center (for COVID). The process was orderly and efficient. We were in and out in under 30 minutes with a private transfer to the ship, which we had not expected.

Cabin Review

Crystal Penthouse with Verandah

We had one of the 4 Crystal Penthouses. At 1300 square feet you could get lost in the room. The living room was more than adequate with a separate dining room. The bedroom was excellent with a single walk in closet. The bathroom was excellent with lots of marble and crystal wash basins. Separate toilet as well as a rain shower with electronic controls and a Jacuzzi bath tub.

One shortcoming of this room is the size of the balcony. It is small compared to owners cabins on other luxury lines. It is likely the smallest with room for 2 chairs and stools and a small table.

We did have a number of mechanical issue. The Bluetooth audio came and went. The tub stopper didn't stop the outflow of water, the bidet didn't produce warm water and there were etched stains of glasses and flower holders on the coffee table. All were fixed except the sound system (dated) and the table.

These 4 big rooms come with the top butler on board. We liked our butler's coffee, and it was great compared to the stern restaurant. When he learned this he showed up at our table with a pot of his special brew. It did get the few passengers around us to give us a hard stare ....
