Sail Date: Aug 2021

This was my first cruise on P and O previously sailed with RC and Celebrity.

Boarding - arrived for covid test which was quick and efficient. Unfortunately there was no information on what to do next. We found out by chance that you went to the terminal and completed all pre boarding checks before getting covid results. So basically hundreds of people crammed in a tiny area, hopefully everyone was negative.

First impressions - the ship is large and clean but so dull; every room is decorated in dark brown and beige. Probably ok in the spanish sunshine but dark and depressing under cloudy Southampton skies. Our cabin was on a high floor midship but the lifts only went to deck 7. With a reduced capacity in the lifts due to covid we had to walk to the front of ship for stairs then back to midship for Horizon buffet.

Cabin Review

I was shocked at how small the cabin was in comparison with other cruise lines and yes it was once again decorated in dreary brown and beige.
