Our kids took this cruise in 2019. They wanted us to go this time. We got a good deal on the price. The itinerary included Cozumel, Roatan Island and Belize. We also liked the choices of food and onboard activities. We got off of the ship at all three ports. At Roatan Island (by Honduras), Carnival did a great job of ensuring that the place was conducive to a fun day. The water was warm and clear...the bottom was pretty much flat and free of big rocks. Plenty of shade. At Belize, we took the snorkel excursion via shuttle boat to a small island. Lunch was included...a fun day. Warning though, don't walk around in bare feet if you don't want sand flea bites. Lots of ants on the island as well. Just keep your stuff off the ground. In Cozumel, we enjoyed the shopping. TIP: don't bother asking what the price is because the answer will always be "Not much" lol. We had fun bargaining....we actually got some good deals (at least we thought so).

Embarkation was fairly easy. Debarkation was pretty well organized. The process started at 9 and we were off and through customs by 10. I was impressed with all of the efforts of the staff to make things as safe and fun as possible. We avoided Ida, so that was awesome. Were there a few burps and bumps here and there? Sure. Yes, you will have to wait a long time for an elevator during peak times. Sometimes, the buffet runs out of a favorite item. The Serenity deck closes at 7 pm on the last two nights for cleaning, but opens again at midnight. However, those are small things. The food was good. The activities were fun. We feel we got our money's worth and will cruise with Carnival again.

Cabin Review

Interior Upper/Lower

The cabin was adequate for the two of us. We did overpack a bit, but our bags were able to slide under the easily, so they were out of the way. The cabin provides free TV and movies, a small fridge, closet for hanging clothes and drawers, two nightstands, a desk with two outlets and two usb outlets. The toilet and shower were adequate...the water was always hot. The bed was very comfortable.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

We loved Cozumel. It was a lot fun shopping and price haggling. All of the haggling was good natured and we usually got what we wanted...there were a couple of times we walked away. But if you walk away, you'll probably find the same thing in another shop at price you want.

Roatan

Roatan was great. After 3 days at sea, it was nice to get off the ship for a day. The island is pretty well manicured...flat, sandy bottom without too many big rocks, warm, beautiful water. We found plenty of shade...parked ourselves under a few palms. One vendor was selling freshly cut coconuts...drop in a straw and add some rum...mmm. I had possible one too many but what the heck? It's vacation. There is a shopping area as soon as you get off the ship. We enjoyed browsing for some unique souvenirs. Got some good BBQ on the island as well. Plenty shade, food, drink, music and fun. We spent about 6 hours on the island.
