Our first cruise after the covid lock down. And one of the very first cruises of the Celebrity Apex itself. The ship came into service in 2020 but due to the covid crisis couldn't sail with passengers before summer 2021. We sailed with her through the Greek waters and it was like a Greek myth. Great weather, wonderful islands, a great ship and an excellent service. We were only 400 passengers and about 600 crew members, so it felt like a private cruise. The total capacity of the ship is about 3500 passengers.

The ship is very beautiful. It is perhaps the nicest ship we have been sailing on. We liked the infinite veranda stateroom very much. More space, a large outside view through the XL window from top to floor, an intelligent developed bathroom, enough storage space and a super bed. Outside our stateroom: from the beautiful rooftop garden until the efficient and large exit of the ship down on deck 2 it really is a wonderful experience. Special recommendations for the Eden venue, the Martini bar where the waiters perform every evening a special show, the theater with the extra large LCD screen and the large swimming pool (larger than we have seen on any other ship). The jogging/walking track is also better than we have seen on other ships. Also to be noted: because of the newly designed bow of the ship it consumes 30% less fuel and it sails more stable on the waters (less chance to get seasick).

The crew was amazing in their service. Entertainment was better than we have seen on other ships. The food was not always up to standard in the 4 main dining rooms (better on evening chic days). A special recommendation for the pastries. We met the Serbian pastry chef of all Celebrity vessels and we saw him doing an excellent job. Read more
