Well finally was able to get on a ship! So many ducks to line up and things to do, but the day was here. As you know, you must have a negative Covid -19 test no more than 72 hours before the cruise. The means I sailed on a Sunday but received my test on the Thursday before. You DON'T COUNT the day of your sailing. Check to make sure they haven't changed this to 48 hours. Antigen test is fine. This is the test where they swab a q-tip in your nose. It is not a big deal and you should have the results in 15-30 min. Results on your phone are fine and so is a printout of the results. We went to CVS. Make sure you also have you vaccination card. This was RCL's first 100% vaccinated voyage on the the Odyssey.

Also make sure you arrive at the ship within 15-30 minutes of your previously scheduled check in time. They will check your vaccination card and your Covid result no less than 4 times before you step on the ship. I don't know why, but they do.

If you have been on the Anthem of the Seas then pretty much the Odyssey of the Seas is the same ship! You must wear your mask while boarding and while walking around the ship. I found it a little odd that since this was the FIRST 100% vaccinated ship...except for a few kids, that they did not change the protocols to match the 100% vaccinated. It seemed some of the crew did not even know it was 100% vaccinated. Nonetheless they are operating like they did on early voyages. There are some areas of the ship where you don't have to wear a mask such as Boleros, the Casino, the Pub and where you can sit at the Bar. These areas are reserved for vaccinated guests. And there are some places where you do have to wear a mask as presumably some people where not vaccinated. But like I said, everyone is vaccinated. So it is silly to differentiate the venues as this point. The crew were very nice, but very regimented when enforcing the vaccinated/non-vaccinated even when non-vaccinated don't exist. All in all everything else was pretty much a normal fun cruise. Oh and yes they have deck 3 main dining as vaccinated only and deck 4 main dining as mixed with vaccinated and the non-vaccinated that don't exist. Basically deck 4 had a handful of kids and deck 3 had no children. As you know, kids can't get the shot yet. This is probably one of the safest places on the face of the earth, relative to getting sick.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Balcony

Cabin has more storage than you need. Balcony is great. Cabin if hotel beautiful. Bed is great. Water pressure outstanding. The best need I say more?
