Cabin Review

The Princess Suite cabin was fine although we only spent one night there as we discovered the band on the Lido deck above us (9) were playing right above our heads. One phone call to the Pursers Office and we had a Duty Officer visit and agree with us it WAS noisy. He then rang back and advised us he had loaded the issue into the system and to see the Grills Concierge in the morning and they would see what could be done with a possible move if necessary.

The next morning the Concierge was well aware of what had happened and assured us we were going to see a nice room but because it wasn't easy to find, he'd take us there. It turns out some cabins aft on both deck 4 and 5 are quarantine cabins so staff can isolate for 10 days before joining the crew with a clean bill of health. No doubt they could also quarantine guests who were unwell but that was our assumption! So he took us to what became our new cabin dead aft on 5 deck and a Queens Suite no less, not a Princess. We were upgraded to a much larger room. No noise and a great view out the a**e end of the ship.

Moving there though was interesting as we had to pack all the loose stuff and our steward organised taking all the bags and the hanging stuff which was effectively transferred from wardrobe to wardrobe, although that was fun since we went from one long wardrobe to 3 separate ones!!

Bottom line a nice room but surely, someone MUST know that rooms below that Lido area are going to be noisy....moral of the story, don't book or nearby!
