Having cruised about 20 times before but never having tried Princess, this 4 night sea-cation at a really good price appealed to us and was a last minute booking. The ship is the newest in the fleet (& much bigger than our previous experience of ships) and she does look great, as the heading indicates there is an Art Deco feel to the interiors with added “shine”.

We had a balcony cabin on deck 10 which has nice light wood finishes. It felt a little smaller than Celebrity ships, but I think that’s because they have partition off a generous wardrobe area next to the bathroom, which is also a little small. Disappointing that it has a curtained shower not a glass door. Note: the razor point is for US & EU plugs NOT U.K.

We stuck to the main dining restaurants, only Cielo and Estrella were open. Menus were varied and generally good as was the service. At the various bars and coffee stations around the ship, staff were helpful, but some drinks were not available at all of them. Take Five was our favourite, good cocktails and terrific Jazz from the excellent Larry King trio.
