Overall outstanding ship with lots of activities, very few public areas for lounging inside and will probably be crowded when at full capacity. We were about 58% full and the ship never felt crowded at all. Something to think about here... the listed capacity is 6500 passengers (that's with more than 2 people in many staterooms, Max capacity), while the Royal Caribbean Oasis class can carry 6700 maximum - but she is 40,000 tons bigger!! That means Carnival has packed a lot of staterooms on this ship with little space to lounge and relax indoors. Traffic flow of passengers was great on our sailing and we never waited for elevators or restaurant seating. The use of the Carnival Hub app is necessary so go ahead and download before you leave for the port. Arrival was uncomplicated. You are assigned a time but that is really an estimate of when you will be boarding. No one stopped us coming through security and health screening 30-45 minutes earlier than our scheduled arrival. After that, your boarding number group is called A 1 thru 13, B 1 thru 13, etc. Food choices are AMAZING!! Shaq's Big Chicken is absolutely my favorite place with Guy's Burgers close behind. We enjoyed several dinners in the Palm (my wife's favorite) and La Cucina del Capitano (my favorite - try the Farfalle Al Pistachio! You will NOT regret it!!). Didn't really notice too many crowds in Lido Marketplace and food was sometimes good there when we stopped by - mainly for desserts. Wife loved the cheesecakes - different one every day. Ship is smooth and we really enjoyed this second foray into a Carnival ship (were on Vista when she was new too). Some design choices could be better. We had a balcony stateroom on deck 10 Starboard aft. The smoking area on deck 8 mid blows back onto all these balconies. Lets move the smokers to the back of the ship and let it blow off the fantail instead of into everyone else's stateroom. Entertainment was a step above high school production quality in many respects. The electronics and techno parts are fist rate but the talent is just okay. Over acting in may places. And the comedians... please. I realize they are constrained to 1/2 hour shows but some of them didn't appear to have more than 10 minutes of material and tried to improv the remainder of their show - poorly. I've seen good comedians (Kevin Pollak for instance) and I've seen good cruise ship comedians, but these guys/gals were generally older (like all over 60) and generally marginally funny.

We would definitely sail on her again. Oh, and Amber Cove is a joke. There is no lazy river, there is only a bridge or two over two sections of the pool. There is no current pushing you around, etc. Also, the whole entire area is apparently a smoking section... people basically light up wherever and whenever they want to including IN THE POOL!
