Decided to go to Alaska since we live 3 hours from Seattle and never cruised there but have done over 20 cruises. Other than the covid test 2 days before the cruise, it was very easy to board. Ship had only 650 passengers and the crew was wonderful. Was cold/rain as expected for Alaska but enjoyed the 3 ports that we stopped - Ketchikan, Juneau & Icy Strait Pt. Everyone in Alaska was very customer friendly.

We were very unhappy when we boarded to discover that Celebrity's ALWAYS INCLUDED 3 PERKS were dropped from our booking. We booked thru Celebrity on the phone (husband and I were both on the phone) and my husband asked if there were any other discounts besides the 3 perks. She asked if he was military - he said yes - so she said she could give another discount for that. She never ONCE advised us that doing that would cause our 3 perks to be removed. We would have never chosen the military discount since it was a $658. reduction but the perks were $1253.00. Who would choose the military discount if you wanted wifi/drinks & gratuities? I doubt any one would - not us. We argued with them when we discovered this after boarding but no one could help us. We offered to take off the military discount & give us perks - but they said they could not do that.

We were in Aqua and ELITE on Celebrity. We have been on over 5 cruises with them and have another one book for Nov. 2022 for 4 cabins with our family.

Cabin Review

It was a nice mid ship cabin but has a 20 ft. overhang from the deck above (10) where the swimming pools are located. If you like no sun and cannot see the entire sky - nice. Keeps you dry while raining.

The best part of Aqua is the BLU restaurant. Very nice and small. Meals were exceptional and service too.
