Booked 3 weeks prior to sailing it was a screaming deal! Got double points, and were on our way to getting Diamond status. We are From Oregon so easy drive up I5 to Seattle. The food is good. But I s it great? ( Not really) However you can find find good food it’s just maybe not quite as good as some of the other ships I have been on for sure but I was very happy with the food. Don’t listen to the complainers just book it! However I was even more happier with the entertainment. Entertainment and activities on the Ovation were first rate . Cruise director was great, funny. Staff was very conscientious, really appreciated how nice and friendly they were. Only downside was it rained some, not a lot but just about every day except for the first and last was cloudy . Oh well I was just happy to be on a ship at this point after the lockdown for Covid.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite with Large Balcony - 1 Bedroom

was excellent. Cabin Steward was the nicest gentle spirited guy ever. I asked him for something and told him no hurry next thing you know there was a knock at the door, happened on three different occasions . Service was 100% .

Port Reviews

Sitka

Awesome town . We did The best of Sitka excursion. However I met somebody that DIY did the same things except for the bear rescue facility and had no trouble. So it’s easy to get around in Sitka very small town. Salmon were spawning so we got to see that.

Skagway

Did bus tour. Was a small shuttle type bus. Guide was awesome gave great information. Train wasn’t going all the way, bus was cheaper than train more comfortable than the train and you get to stop and actually take pictures at places you can’t do that on the train.

Juneau

Took a bus tour to Mendenhall glacier only cost 35 a piece they gave tour on the way I recommend the blue one. We were able to do a short flat hike about a mile each way to get a better look at the glacier and the water falls through the woods. That made it really nice.
