We arrived at the Port Canaveral RCCL Cruise Terminal on Friday, October 1 at around 12:30PM to board the Mariner of the Seas For some reason, the terminal has removed any lines/process for Suite guests, which has always been available in the past and appeared easy to accomodate even during COVIT. It took one hour from the time we arrived until we boarded the ship. There was a long queue line outside of the terminal. When we reached the doors, all documents were inspected. We entered the building and joined another long queue line. Then moved to a third queue. The terminal staff then checked/scanned all documents which took longer than expected. The security Xray process was empty because of the delayed check-in process, so this went fast. Then you moved upstairs to again be checked in. Just prior to boarding, all documents were checked yet again. This is the longest it has ever taken to board and Seattle’s process was much faster several weeks ago. Once we boarded, the ship was great! The entire crew was extremely friendly and attentive, and we often saw senior officers around the ship making sure the passengers were having a wonderful time! The cruiseline did a great job with all COVIT protocols and as vaccinated guests, we had no concerns during the cruise. Today, disembarking was smooth and fast. It was a great cruise!
