Testing before: a lot! I also wasn’t impressed that I had to pay for additional testing and $150 to Bermuda tourism since this should’ve been, in my eyes, negotiated by Norwegian. I have a multi port trip next year and am ready to cancel—too expensive with this! The process when boarding was simple enough but a LOT of walking for older passengers with no assistance which worried me for them. The contractors testing were also a bit lost as to the process and struggled communicating the process with passengers. We relied more on each other to learn the process.

Do NOT bid on a upgraded cabin: I had to visit customer service 7 times and I attribute most of the issues to this. They didn’t have hubs’ Latitudes level correct and initially didn’t add the free at sea options. We discovered when we ordered our first drinks. Ouch! They fixed after I had to prove I had it with paperwork I happened to print (why did I have to prove when their system was where I printed from) but did not ensure other items were correct as I asked....hence more trips to the desk each time we used one. These issues included specialty dining, WiFi, discounted excursions and the beverage package. UGH! At one point they did remove charges but not gratuity which again, I had prepaid and they had to remove. The final issues was flight was canceled and we had to get a room overnight so we couldn’t use airport transfer. I called desk and they said I had to come down-did that only to be told I have to contact NCL after we were home—REALLY???? Watch your charges and take your itemized summary.

On the ship it was pretty wonderful and that’s what kept me calm. It was very clean, very, very clean and the staff was visibly making it a priority! With the testing before boarding and their efforts I felt very safe! The food was better than we’ve had before on the same ship and the crew went out of their way to make it a fun time for everyone. SIX was the best show I’ve seen on a ship and the piano player, Andy, at Shakers was a welcomed distraction from the worked we’d left. Our favorite bars were Shakers and Oshehans (sP?) where the staff was especially accommodating as well as engaging! Our only let down was our cabin steward who we assume was new. He was ok but did only the minimum and we had to look for him on a few occasions.

Cabin Review

Location was fine but steward was only adequate. We upgraded from inside to balcony.
