Portugal was a country we had not visited. We booked the pre cruise extension in Lisbon which we found to be a beautiful city (except for the graffiti). We were driven by coach upto Porto to board Radiance, after taking the inevitable COVID test. The ship provided good medical quality masks which we were asked to wear moving around and all the crew also wore.

The river has lovely views and amazing locks. Daily excursions are included generally catering for different levels of activity, plus a whole day in Salamanca (Spain), which did involve a lot of walking.

The crew are all helpful, friendly and create a very nice atmosphere. As the ship was only about half full, most passengers got to know each other pretty well and this was a very jolly bunch.

Cabin Review

Cabins are small, especially the bathroom. We found ourselves having to step out of each other’s way to get to the wardrobe or bathroom when dressing and the bed (two twins pushed together) is really close to the bathroom door.

Port Reviews

Great day in Salamanca. Interesting places to visit and architecture. At the end a Tuna Band in the square to entertain us musically (a kind of folk music).
