Sail Date: Jan 2011
Cabin: Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Just returned last night. 7 Days on Adventures of the Sea out of San Juan. Stops in Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten & St. Croix. This ship is 10 years old and in need of updates. Inefficient crew to passenger ratio.

Overall service is fair. Too few room attendants. Too few wait staff. Too small public dining area (cafeteria) to accommodate 3300 passengers. Difficult to find seating at breakfast or lunch. Understaffed as well for evening dining in assigned dining rooms. Food quality poor in all aspects.

NO onboard presentations regarding ports of call OTHER than recommended stores to visit in port. Do your own research before as their super slow internet service barely allows you to check your email for less than $10-15. (Takes 5 minutes just to log in - horrendous!!) ABSOLUTELY NO ONE ON DUTY IN THE BUSINESS CENTER E V E R !!!!!

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin space was ample. Nice balcony. Old tv's. Beds not so comfortable. NO HOT WATER on THREE different evenings before dinner.

Too many rooms assigned to not enough people.

Food in their Windjammer Cafe was deplorable. Food in the fine dining room was horrible, both morning and evening. ONLY decent place to eat was JOHNNY ROCKETS, which charges a $4.95 service charge to eat there, IF you want to eat hamburgers and hot dogs every day. Unexcusable.

AVOID THIS SHIP - ADVENTURE OF THE SEA.
