Just got back from a 7-day Rome cruise on the Mariner, and that ship is beautiful! Every European port that we visited, our ship was the largest and the most beautiful in the harbor. Even more important, the crew obviously enjoy what they are doing and work well together as a team to provide the best service we ever had.

The ship itself is maintained meticulously, and we saw no evidence at all of any wear and tear. The only stains on the carpets disappear 10 minutes after a passenger drops their drinks on it - otherwise, our balcony cabin and hallways seemed as if they had been newly re-carpeted last week. The crew keeps it spotlessly clean, and we were told that it's getting dry-docked this winter to get a new exterior paint job and some newer features installed.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Right near the elevators, but very quiet. Cig. smoke from other balconies occasionally drifted in. No noise from next-door cabins. Huge, comfortable king-sized bed right next to the balcony - perfect views. Nice shower (I'm a large person and had no trouble at all). Plenty of closet space. Simple, responsive heating/cooling controls.
