We are platinum members, and this cruise was a nightmare. First, we always get a handicap room, since my husband is very unsteady and uses a walker. Upon arrival, we were booked a regular inside room, which, means the bathroom has a step up and a very small shower. Our agent assured us he booked us a handicap room. First of all, Boston is not a great port. I would never sail out of there again. It was crowded and disorganized for embarkation. We were listed to register from11:30 to 12:00 which meant nothing. Sailed on a 5 day NCL cruise from NY to Bermuda. This was my 6th NCL cruise and definitely enjoy the NCL freestyle experience. This cruise was no different. I have cruised NCL many times and have been on the Jade before. Things have changed with this cruise line. Customer service was not good. Could not get a water bottle or even a pad of paper and pen for the room. Was told this was only available for full suites and above, we had a balcony suite. We love NCL; this was our fourth cruise with them. Started with a weather issue and Bermuda drop as a port; we did not find this out until we were in the check-in line. The ship is overcrowded, and there is too much competition for everything on board including dining, elevators, and public spaces. We often have to wait for two or three elevators to find space. The breakfast food in the Garden Cafe doesn't change for seven days. We had to arrive by 6:30 a.m. to be able to find a table to sit.
