We enjoyed our January 3, 2017 cruise on Riviera (Eastern Caribbean) especially the food, enough that we decided to repeat the experience with Western Caribbean itinerary, and we were glad we did.
Embarkation was efficient; our names were not on the list, but the issue was resolved in a few minutes and we were accompanied upstairs to aid in our boarding.
We ate a bit at the Terrace, then ...
We specifically chose this cruise because we have always wanted to see Cuba. We booked the first day it was opened for booking. We had a concierge veranda room midship. We had an odd number room. Suggest you get an even number for this cruise as you get a beautiful view of the mountains and coastline of Cuba much of the trip. The lectures by Sandy were awesome. And we had two special talks ...
We flew into Ft. Lauderdale and stayed one night at the Hilton Marina hotel - very nice; best to get a room in the tower. Had a closeup view of Port Everglades. Breakfast buffet was WAY overpriced but there is a Starbucks in the lobby. My favorite FLL hotel is the Lago Mar, but for just an overnight the Hilton was half the price. Took a shuttle to Miami.
Embarkation line was quite long and ...
The itinerary from Dubai to Capetown along with an opportunity for the excursions to Taj Mal and a safari in Africa was unique, The food on this ship was of an exceptional, quality, service and restaurants, were without a match with any other cruise ships that we have sailed on and this is no exaggeration. Although, not a reflection on the ship’s crew or staff, there were excursion experiences ...
Looking for cruise in warmer location in the winter. Never visited NZ/AUS. Heard good things about Oceania. Liked small ship. Regatta is "Old" but we did not notice any particular defects. We had two ports cancelled due to stormy weather for safety reasons. Disappointing but beyond control of Oceania. Cost of missed tours was refunded. No mechanical problems that we were aware ...
We are frequent cruisers, 30 completed to date. We chose this Cape Town-Cape Town cruise because we are destination driven. What a disappointment! Because of weather issues, we did not dock at 3 ports in a 15 day cruise. Although weather is not in Oceania's control, the response and alternative planning is, which they failed to do. They COULD have added more game drives in the ports we did manage ...
Cruised on this vessel Dec 6, 2017 to Dec. 21 2017 off South Africa.
3 Ports were cancelled
Service was sub par
Food was sub par
Maintenance was sub par
Attitude of staff was sorry can,t help you
We have spent over 55 days travelling on Insignia and Nautica and have never had Now we find that the information given to us on departure that the credit balance due to the ...
My wife and I chose Oceania because the company had a good reputation among some of our friends, who are seasoned travelers. We had been satisfied with previous cruise lines, i.e., Crystal, but Oceania had the best travel time for us. Our excitement of seeing the Regatta from the outside gave way to gross disappointment when first taking in the so-called renovated interior. It had a very dated ...
We chose this cruise bc of Oceania's reputation for good service. But the service we got was horrible.
Every time we had to interact with someone (anyone) from guest services, the responses were invariably "what did YOU do to screw this up, valued passengers of ours?" Almost every port of call had a major mishap - either we had to miss 2 due to weather, the tender was hours late, they had the ...
We chose this cruise for the chance to see some animals and to see South Africa. Chance is the operative word here. Before we even got on the ship we were handed a letter saying we would miss our first port, Mossel Bay. We had a safari booked and were disappointed but we made a beeline for the shore excursion desk and booked another game Reserve at another port. If you have an excursion canceled ...
