Ship - very glitzy - perhaps many’s preference.
Staff - mainly amazing, especially cabin and restaurant staff.
Cruise director - wonderful!
Negative comments - Specialty restaurants - save yourselves the bother and go to the Grand Dining Room where the food and service is (usually) top notch. We booked for the Specialty Restaurants on the first day they opened - online - and we managed ...
Really poor cruise experience on Oceania Vista. This was our first cruise with this line. After reading all their hyped-up claims about best food on cruise line, best service and curated ports, this was all a huge disappointment. I found their food to be no better if not worse than any other cruise line. While they do offer what seems like more expensive selections, I thought the quality of ...
Note that we were on two B
This was our fourth Oceania cruise, all previous cruises were on the Riviera. The Vista is a beautiful ship, with many quality upgrades from the Riviera. Other reviews have listed details about the staterooms (concierge verandah), public spaces, and dining. We particularly like the new Aquamar Kitchen, and the new Barista Bakery.
Compared to Riviera, the crew ...
This was our first O cruise having only sailed Celeb Retreat previously. We were in a PH1. Checkin was fast and we had an 11am time. As the rooms aren’t ready that early I’d probably aim for noon next time. Our suite was ready at 12:15 and the official call for PH came at 1pm
We really missed having an app for checkin, dining reservations and seeing what’s going on around the ship. They ...
This was our 3rd cruise and second with Oceania. Our first cruise was to French Polynesia on Regatta and was cut short due to the Covid outbreak. Despite this setback, we were very impressed and pleased with everything, especially the food and based on this experience, booked our most recent cruise with Oceania again. This most recent cruise was again on Regatta. A 16 day voyage visiting ports in ...
Normally, Oceania is our go to cruise line with smaller less crowded ships and fabulous cuisine. 2/3rds into this cruise we woke to raw sewage spewing up through the shower drain and spilling into the room. At first, they claimed they would have us back in the room after cleanup, which of course was ludicrous given sewage on and under the carpet. Oceania had offered a measly amount discount for a ...
Sirena January 24-
Cabin stewards and wait staff are, as always, terrific. We've cruised with Oceania for years and we are continually impressed. I can't say enough about the over-worked people who make the beds and carry the trays and swab the decks. They are just about universally accommodating and pleasant.
I suspect that the staff has been significantly reduced. Before Covid the waiters ...
The best service and dining possible. Everyone helpful and cordial. Everything organized perfectly.
If you want a nice mature group of passengers that are well traveled, respectful of one another, are friendly and courteous, this is the place to be. If you want roller coasters, rock climbing and blearing rock music all day, maybe not.
All restaurants are wonderful. The open air seating ...
We chose this cruise to avoid winter snow up north. We have visited the Caribbean many times so the excursions and sightseeing were less important than getting away and relaxing. I gained six pounds from eating the food which was excellent. We ate almost all of our meals at the Terrace Grill which offered lobster tails, fish, lamb chops, shrimp, steaks at lunch and dinner. They had carving ...
Just back from an 11-day cruise on Oceania Vista. The short version: Vista is a new and beautiful ship with poor food. The cabins are tastefully designed. The crew is mostly friendly and accommodating (with a few notable exceptions). As impressive as some of the elements of the ship are, though, they never seem to gel into a coherent whole.
This was our second Oceania cruise (we were on Riviera ...
