Aarhus: the sleeper destination. Didn't expect much but enjoyed it very much. We visited the old town Den Gamle By and I went on to the modern art museum (with the rainbow walking circle on top) on our own. No need to book tours for these. They're a 10 minute walk from the ship, and you have much more autonomy on your own. ...
We loved this port for walking around. Only a 10-15 minute walk from the ship and a lovely town to walk around. We always go into the main department store to use the bathrooms and ask the local salespeople what to do and see. There is a canal running through the town with lots of restaurants, shopping and cafes. There is an old town, where the buildings are many hundreds of years old. There ...
Open Air history museum is a distance to walk to, but every bit worth it - fascinating! Homes and shops moved here from all over Denmark to reflect the history. ...
Heaps to see and do. We walked everywhere and visited the historic old town, modern art museum with rainbow panarama roof, cathedral and viking museum below street level. all were really fabulous experiences ...

This was Ok. We walked on our own to the Cathedral, old town and ended with Den Gamle and saw the many shops and homes that have been saved...set up like an early village

We took the hop on and hop off bus, but it was not user friendly... The bus dropped us off in the morning at a different location due to traffic jam, and the driver did not tell us it was not a regular stop... Most of the stops are not clearly marked...As a result, we had to walk all the way back to the town square near the ship, wasted another 45 minutes on the bus to get back to the ship... ...
