Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

REGENT SEVEN SEAS REVIEW Last Fall we went on a Regent Seven Seas Alaskan tour. It was the worst trip I have ever been on in my life. It was also the only trip my family did not plan, and book, by ourselves. I have been to more than 25 countries (including Russia, Japan, East Germany, and Peru) as well as 40 states. Although tested the day of departure, I got Covid 19 and had to be taken off ...

Sickness at sea

We were excited to travel with a group of friends on our first Alakan cruise. The check in was awesome. On the night of our 2nd day my husband became ill....bronchitis like symptoms. The next morning he and I went to breakfast....many people were displaying signs of illness. My husband then went back to bed where he spent the next 2 days. The following day 3 more in our group were ...

We took this cruise because of the itinerary had all the places we wanted to visit in Alaska. The highlights included: Hubbard Glacier, Glacier Bay, Skagway, Ketchikan, Juneau and Vancouver. All the stops were just outstanding and awesome. Normally this would be a 5 star rating but all the issue below take it down to a 1. Now onto all the issues. The food was just terrible. The food in the ...

Not the best experience.

Wanted to cruise Glacier Bay so I chose this ship because it is one of the smaller ships. Having cruised numerous times with other vendors this was my first cruise with the Princess line. The quality of the food was sub-par in all the food venues. The best food was the pizza and it was nothing to rave about. Service was good except for the room stewards who were not the friendliest and seemed ...

Never again

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Royal Princess

I chose this cruise specifically to photograph the inner passage. Booked the large suite in the back of the boat. Apparently this ship is too large to navigate the inner passage and instead detoured out to sea for a day of watching rough waves. Never notified us of the change either before the sailing or the day of. The suite was nice, deck large bathroom beautiful. The air quality in the suite ...

Zero Stars if it were up to me

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Island Princess

If I could give zero stars I would. From terrible food to abhorrent customer service, Princess Cruises made what would have been a wonderful journey to Alaska an absolute nightmare. They lied on their sales material, not to mention promising they could provide babysitter and then waiting until we were on the ship to tell us they cannot do so. The excursions were obtusely expensive and ...

I booked an 11 day land and sea journey with princess because I was told great things about this adventure. But no one told me it was designed for 55+ Spent a ton of money on this adventure and dissatisfied. 7 days on a cruise and there were 2 yes 2 fun acts / shows in 7 days. A comedy act one night and a newlywed game... 7 days and this was it. The excursions were great when ...

I selected this cruise for the itinerary. I thought Princess also had a good reputation. I was told they had been doing AK cruises longer than the other lines. We could not have been more disappointed in Princess. My family of 4 spent a lot of money to go on this land/cruise tour. Alaska was awesome and I cannot wait to go back. I will NEVER give Princess another dime of my money. To sum ...

Cruise was very disappointing

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Sun

I have never been on a cruise before so needless to say, we were very excited with high expectations. Needless to say, I was very disappointed in Norwegian. We started our tour on land in Fairbanks. We started our land tour with several stops that were very enjoyable. It was pouring rain and a lot of tourists did not want to go on the River Boat so our tour guide Grace, set up an excursion to ...

Over rated, pre-cruise land tour operator no showed.....

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Grand Princess

Nothing special about Princess Cruises. First time sailing with them; far below expectations. Pre-cruise land tour operator did not show up on the very first evening of our vacation. Apparently it wasn't just our tour operator no-showed, 2 other parties with different tours also had issues. Princess staff at the lodge's tour desk tried to sort things out. But no manager was available to resolve ...
