Review for a South America Cruise on Marina

I had always wanted to go to Buenos Aires and Rio and thought a cruise between the 2 would be wonderful. The ship was beautifully appointed and loved the dining options. Unfortunately, the ports of call really were terrible. A great frustration was that we were going to stop in San Paolo but we stopped in Santos. The only transport they offered was to a shopping mall in Santos and no way to ...

Oosterdam... both good and bad.

Holland America Oosterdam 31 night cruise: March 5 to April 5, 2024. This cruise was advertised as including a day of "Scenic Cruising Cape Horn". We made our final payment on Feb. 2. Then, on Feb. 5, we were notified that the ship would NOT be doing the Cape Horn cruise! "For operational reasons". As it turned out, the schedule produced by Holland America is not doable. The Captain told us ...

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Norwegian Star

While we had a wonderful time and felt safe on board, there were a number of areas the cruise line missed the mark: 1. We paid for an upgraded dinner at Teppenyaki restaurant. Of the four people in our party, there was a problem with the meals. Raw chicken was served and two people were served things they repeatedly stated they were allergic to. We even booked it for the first sitting so the ...

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Sapphire Princess

Buenos Aries. Embarkation was a nightmare. The cruise terminal was destroyed by a storm 4 weeks ago. Princess has not adequately responded. If you have a Princess transfer you will be taken care of. Everyone Else waited in long line in the sun. I was in a wheelchair and line took 3 hours and 20 minutes. No English speaking Princess employees to even explain what was happening. No signs to ...

Very good, but not the best Regent experience.

Beautiful ship, fabulous staff, wonderful cuisine, elegant suite. The Butler and Stewards were very attentive. We were fortunate on this leg, as with the previous one, in having thoroughly delightful weather. Our stop in Montevideo was especially memorable. What a gorgeous city! The tour was well conducted by a very articulate guide, and the stops along the way were timed well to give ...

Great Itinerary, BUT.....

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

First time sailing Celebrity. We wanted to go to Antartica (but not on an expedition ship). The itinerary was great! However, we missed the Falkland (Malvinas) Island stop due to it being a tendered stop and the weather was not great (or so they said). That created a little too many sea days all together. I'll try to sum up this review quickly: POSITIVES: Antartica/penguins/icebergs - ...

We had a wonderful sailing by the Antartic (Paradise Bay/ Elephant Island) The weather was amazing and we could spot lots of Fauna, ranging from penguins at a distance from many many whales Humpback and Blue really, really close. This two days were undoubtedly the highligt of an itinerary that has too many days on sea in a crowded boat that with bad weather turns on a overcrowded Garden café, ...

We took this cruise for the South America itinerary (Buenos Aires to Valparaiso). It has been several years since we have been on a Celebrity cruise. All in all, we had a wonderful trip. There were some negatives. The ship is tired and needs a lot of maintenance. When we arrived in our balcony stateroom, there was a light bulb burned out, a broken drawer in the closet and the safe would not ...

I choose this trip because It was a good introduction of this expedition new ship from Seabourn , this would be my third cruise on Seabourn which I was very impress with their service and overall quality in the past 2 cruises especially for what you pay for , my cruise was only 7 days from Buenos Aire to Rio , unfortunately I was to do the Iquitos to Manaus but this was canceled , the ship came ...

Old ship needing attention - not 5*

Review for a South America Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

Chosen because of itinerary. We usually cruise with Seabourn. The ship is showing its age especially in the bathroom which was dark and shabby. I am sure the newer ships are better. Our CD was ineffectual and did not interact with passegers. There were no activities on deck although the weather was perfect. Ghastly white mattresses on sunbeds made it look like a sanatorium. The included tours ...
