Family Cruise in Haven 2bd Suite

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

We just got back from our weeklong cruise, so let me share with you what I think, so good and bad highlights were: Good - generally, the food. The Haven breakfast was nice to have and definitely more unique ingredients and higher quality of ingredients in the food. I enjoyed the French press, coffee, and the fresh squeezed orange juice. They ended up bringing the Sriracha from another Haven ...

To first-time and occasional cruisers, this would likely have been a five-star experience ... but those of us who've been with Royal for a while (as in the maiden voyage of Grandeur, now the oldest ship in the fleet), the differences become more notable with each trip. Our last cruise out of Galveston was on the Allure in late '22, so we have a comparison. The most significant cutback is the ...

We sailed two years ago on the voyager during Christmas and new year weeks. It was a back to back cruise. It included a sauna and steam room. They have been recently taken out(no more steam or sauna) and a large number of new cabins were added to accommodate more guests. The gym has been downsized. They have moved the crown and anchor from the 14th deck to deck 5 in the old card room It almost ...

Prima experience

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

My family and I cruise quite a lot. We just got off the Prima. Usually my son loves the kids club but this time it was so hard to get in that we stopped trying. Instead of just being able to drop him off we have to sign into a queue and wait 30+ (after the doors opened) before we could get to the front of the line. It was ridiculous. On top of that it wasn't open while we were in port which ...

It’s cool…but…

We are long time sailors of NCL since 2012 when we sailed the sky for our honeymoon. The Prima, don’t get me wrong is definitely by looks and amenities like comparing a Ford to a Mercedes Benz. Aesthetically the Prima is beautiful, bright, and can rub elbows with a celebrity ship. That being said sailing on the Escape before and the Sky before the Prima does have a few faults. Anyone who has ...

Disappointed

Booked a cruise with stops to Caribbean: Harvest Caye, Cozumel & Roatan. Liked the fact that this was a fairly new liner. I had bight expectations, but was disappointed. There is no luxury on Prima, it is indeed very minimalistic even down to the essentials store. I was hoping to find some t-shirts and goodies, and was left with zero options. They had a few shirts but sizing was for small ...

Went into this cruise excited but eyes wide open having read all the reviews here and on Reddit. This review is after having just sailed in a Haven 2Br with three kids aged 5, 8 and 10 so this is more specific to the Haven which we’ve stayed in on two other NCL ships. The Pros: - The ship is indeed beautiful and the Haven area is lovely, now situated aft with a pretty infinity pool and two ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Regal Princess

We chose this sailing for an 80th birthday celebration for my mother. We wanted to leave from Galveston and were hoping for a more premium experience than the other lines sailing from there. I don’t think Princess delivered though. First, the Regal Princess is a beautiful ship. Most of the crew were friendly and thoughtful. However, before I even arrived at the terminal, I expected the worst. ...

The Prima will be our last Norwegian Cruise

We were looking forward to our cruise on the Prima, which was our 4th Norwegian cruise. We were disappointed, to say the least. We found the ship to be poorly-designed. They substantially reduced the availability of fare-included dining options in favour of 8 specialty, a-la-cart restaurants. They made the tiny, crowded buffet a major thoroughfare to the pool deck. We paid approximately ...

First time on a NCL ship. Previously sailed on RCL, Carnival and Celebrity. This was cruise number 6, I think. I've read several reviews bashing this ship about it being poorly designed, crowded and all the staff was disinterested. I will disagree to an extent. I had zero issues getting a table in any food venue. Yes, they were busy but I don't care what ship you are on that at 6pm, ...
