This was my first cruise and will be my last with MSC; yes, it was that bad.. First off, when I saw how big the ship was I was in awe, sadly that feeling did not last. The first two days were rough; the water is apparently very rough and I had a hard time with it. The buffet food was okay, but not great; our assigned dining area food was gross; I ordered the mushroom risotto which looked like ...
I can’t deny that it’s great to be on a new ship, everything is new and fresh. The destinations are great and we visited some lovely places.
There are a lot of interior rooms on the Euribia and the ceilings are extremely low; it feels like effort was made to accommodate more people. We found the ship extremely busy, really a lot of people to the point of feeling claustrophobic. With poor ...
It seems I’ve sailed on two cruises with MSC: my first and my last.
Problems:
1. Poor communication. Boarding tenders was not announced. No warning of 7:30 lineup. It resulted in a huge missed prepaid reservation. By the time we were shuttles to the harbor, there were only a few hours available. Worst cruise experience ever.
2. Cancelled Olden port. Clearly, MSC had no plans to visit ...
After 3 years of wait book a 2 week cruise from Kiel to Marseille
Start with food or the lack of you have to ask for everything (yes everything) even salt and pepper shakers. The dinning room is not much better
The service was ok and the excursion were good when they didn't cancel the ones you picked
Room was normal size with a non working fridge and a window view of a deck ...
Embarkation went well. Cabin was worn out. We had a grand suite but that was it. Food in the restaurants are way below any quality level. Even the pay restaurants are a joke. Had ordered a lobster it was inedible. Club diadema (private restaurant) it's a joke. I've never had such a bad meal on vacation.
English is not understood on this ship. Italians do not speak this language. The ...
Long queues repeatedly, starting with 3 1/2 hours to board standing without food or water. Then queues for restaurants, queues for customer services, queues for drinks, queues in the arcade, queues in the water park. Queues in the bars. Not short queues. Long queues. A large and obvious lack of staff who at times were obviously overwhelmed but did battle on. You could try and order breakfast ...
It started with over a 3 hour queue to get on. Unfortunately we hadn't eaten and didn't think it would be necessary to bring food supplies. We got on just as they had shut the food outlets and our dinner slot was for 9:30 in the evening. Luckily we managed to book a speciality restaurant, Indochine which was lovely.
There's a narrow window for the one breakfast restaurant and the market ...
I booked this cruise as I had previously been on a Princess mini cruise, which was fantastic, and as I had heard from fellow cruisers that MSC were good, I decided to book this cruise.
From the start it was a disaster. The embarkation process involved a 4 1/2 hr queue, which was not COVID safe as we were all in close contact for the 4 1/2 hrs, with other passengers before we were tested. I am ...
We have done 16 Cruises previously but we hadn’t tried MSC. We were left extremely disappointed with the whole trip and have never experienced anything like this with any other cruise company.
Embarkation was 3.5 hours in a long queue outside with no seating, food or water and no information given out. (We did get some biscuits & coke towards the end of the check in procedure). We arrived at ...
Quick caveat that while this was my 25th sailing, this was my first (and will be my only) sailing on an MSC ship. It didn't take long for my group and I to notice that MSC caters to the European market, not the American market. This is blatantly apparent when it comes to customer service. MSC has a "it is what is is" mentality when it comes to delivering poor customer experience, which they did ...
