Awful ship well past it's prime but good pre and post tours

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Marina

We chose this cruise because it was going to Antarctica at the time that suited us. We have sailed Regent before and had good reviews of Oceania. How wrong we were. This cruise was awful from boarding queues to the end. Oceania at minimum misrepresented this cruise and at worst, outright lied about the ship's amenities. Let's start... Boarding Disorganization was so awful in Lima that ...

Looking for a three-fer: Machu Picchu, Panama Canal, and Chichen Itza, BUT 1. Turmoil in Peru - no Pre cruise visits 2. Canal - cool; bucket list, but poor excursions 3. Railroad repairs blocking roads, no Big Mayan event. 1 of 3 done. Cabin and floor crew - outstanding - 10 floor Dining - good specialties, fair grand dining room; Terrace - just no. Food availability limited - ...

Review for a Amazon River Cruise on Aqua Nera

My sister and I recently returned from a three-day cruise, January 6 through January 9, on the Aqua Nera. We were booked on the Aria Amazon, but were switched for the convenience of the company to the alternate boat, due to low bookings. At booking, we were advised of the acceptable Iquitos flight timetables to facilitate transport to and from the boat. Our itinerary detailed this would ...

My spouse and I are experienced cruisers. On this voyage we sailed from Lima,Peru to NYC via the Panama Canal. The trip was adversely impacted by an outbreak of gastrointestinal illness(probably Norovirus) which can't be blamed on Oceana. However, their response was a disaster. Numerous activities were curtailed or canceled, and venues closed, even those unrelated to food or bathroom services, ...

The overall trip was not great.

Some stops were boring, food has gone down, quarantined without much consulting with nurse or Doctor and whole ship under watch for illness. Quarantined for 48 hours while some for just 24--communication was very poor about this issue. Many complained about service in some areas especially the dining room and I felt the rooms needed a major cleaning especially the carpets But we still had ...

We chose this cruise for two reasons. One- the itinerary, we always wanted to cruise the Chilean fiords and Cape Horn, and two we were willing to pay the premium for Business Class air and fee free excursions and amenities etc. We expected exceptional service and support. The service by staff was very good and many of the excursions were outstanding. But the ship was tired. We had elevator ...

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Marina

We have been cruising on Seabourn for years and love it. We decided to give Oceania a chance because we liked this itinerary. It was not a good experience. Starting with embarkation which was done at Callao Lima Peru. This port has absolutely no cruise terminal facilities at all. Passengers lined up on the dock without anyone from Oceania to greet us, direct us or answer questions. Some ...

I have to agree all that has been said regards the lack of communication on this ship during the gastric virus outbreak, Marina is a beautiful ship. The food very good and the staff we saw, work very hard and are a benefit to the company. But,we could not understand how the captain allowed some aspects of the ship open. Why could we not put dollars in the laundry machines, yet we could put ...
