Very noisy and busy

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Sky Princess

Firstly, this ship is too big with far too many people onboard and not enough staff. Unfortunately this cruise was during half term so the pools were taken over by children who even had their own blow-up toys in the water. Not enough seating in the public areas. Sunbeds on the decks are almost touching each other. Poor service in the dining room. Wine is served to you already in a glass and not by ...

CABIN FROM HELL E504 (deck 8)

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Sky Princess

Avoid E504 like the plague. The noise in this cabin was like a trapped poltergeist trying to escape from inside of the cabin walls. The banging noise was frightening. This only happened at sea. It took loads of complaints and after 8 days we moved to a quiet cabin. This problem affected quite a number of passengers in the lower/middle ship area. Disembarkation was terrible, its was running over ...

Not the best

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Euribia

I really do not know where to start with my review of the Northern Cruise with MSC. We have cruised with a few other cruise lines and I can honestly say that this was worse than being stuck in a Fawlty Towers sitcom Hotel/Butlins. Initially I had read several reviews from various sites in regards to the cruise we had chosen, and I honestly thought that surely it could not be that bad? Oh ...

Iona aka Butlins at Sea

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Iona

Cruise on Iona from Southampton to Canaries on a 2 week cruise after having been on the MSC Euribia the week before. I had my first cruise on the Azura in 2022. I had seen some reviews of the Iona described as Butlins at sea and my first impressions were that this was rubbish. However, by the second day, I realised they were absolutely right, it is definitely Butlins at sea and for a number of ...

Bed bugs on Iona

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Iona

Travelled on Iona to Portugal, Canaries and Spain Cadiz cancelled and only 6 other port days. Far too many people for the space, everything always booked up, weather not the best and the ship struggled on these many long sea days. Doors to corridor service hatches opening and banging all night on several nights. To top it off found a live bed bug in room on last day, no bites or evidence of ...

Disappointing trip

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Iona

So to clarify this is my second cruise to begin, the service was poor and distasteful. the staff seemed disinterested rather serving they seem only to speak to each other and hide in corners. I get that, but with MSC servers are always there. They even straight up ignore you. there were some a few like three staff who were utterly amazing and a credit to the industry. entertainment: evening ...

Food Poisoning

Disappointed to say the least , I have been on about 20 cruises mostly with P&O . I've never had food poisoning before but needless to say spent a lot of time in the cabin , trying to get the money back on the trips we couldn't go on was not a good experience ,apparently we should have known not to eat the dodgy burgers on board as we were told you had to cancel the trips 48 hours in advance . The ...

P&O more like P & NO!!

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Iona

Where do I begin... Arrived on this two week cruise with an open mind as I usually cruise frequently with another provider. Iona is a much larger ship with different facilities onboard than I am use to. Once onboard after by inlarge an easy embarkation process, I embarked onto this enormous ship. The Atrium is not spectacular and feels more like a shopping centre on a high street than the ...

Not up to P & O old standards

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Iona

Food was OK unless you paid extra when it was great. entertainment was poor compared to pre pandemic times. Far to much emphasis on tech not on quality. In old day you got a new show every night. No longer it's every other night. on line booking system is poor and older people found it difficult to use. rooms were narrow but the conservatory was great Internet package worked well but ...

Iona fails to sparkle or delight

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Iona

Having cruised with P&O several times, and on Iona before, we were happy to book a 14 night trip to the Canaries. However, our experience during the cruise will lead us to explore other cruise lines in future. We recognise that P&O Cruises offer a value proposition - and in many ways it delivers the basics well. But even a value proposition can delight customers through actions which are not ...
