First you have to get a visa to get into India and the process is lengthy and can be expensive. The major "sites" are a visit to a temple and a spice factory. If I had it to do over, I would have not got the visa and stayed on the ship. Two hour ride to the major metro area and Goa was just an impoverished port with little to see. ...

Took a taxi to Colva beach. Circa 50/55 minutes to get there. $80 odd for 4 of us return and the driver stayed and waited for us. Lovely beach but we’ve been told there are many others and people we spoke to said the beaches they visited were way cheaper than the food and drink on offer at the one we went to, but we liked it all the same. Do some research before you go. Calangute Beach was ...

All we saw were two old churches, in need of repair, across the street from one another. We never saw the 'beautiful' side of this area. The beaches, fine hotels etc ...

Did the tour to Spice Farm and Mosque. Although mosque was underwhelming, the Spice farm was an interesting educational experience. Drive was extensive. Don't expect to see nice beaches going in this direction. Mostly tropical forests and wide range of houses/villages. Overall, glad to have done this to see this part of the world. Good value. Excellent and extremely knowledgeable tour guide made ...

We took one of the ships shore excursions to the capital Panjim. It was a nice tour although it was all a bit rushed as we didn't have enough time to go inside the churches we stopped at. Stops were mainly for outside photos which is a pity. We then had a nice walking tour through the older part of town and then got an hour of free time to walk around the city. I would have preferred to have more ...
