Beautiful place. Went on red bus that stops at port and takes you a short ride up river and back with 2 photo stops. There is another blue bus which shuttles you to the glacier and you walk the last bit. Also another bus which takes you to the sky lift where people say the views were amazing and a lovely restaurant up there where you can look at the views and warm up with a hot chocolate. No need ...

It was foggy and rainy so we did not do the Loen skylift as we had planned. We hiked on our own go Lake Floen and back and really enjoyed it. We provisioned ourselves with picnic supplies from the local grocery and had a picnic at a picnic table at the Lake. ...

Then on to the Glacier which was stunning and informative. A great trip and then back to Olden with several lovely shops there too. We bought some lovely items for the home in Norway. ...

We opted for the ‘troll car’ ascent rather than walking as it is, after all a holiday. We soon realised that we had made the right decision. After a scenic and informative coach trip of about 30 minutes, you reach a sort of base camp where there is ...

Great stop. We particularly enjoyed getting up early to enjoy the sail into Olden. We tend to go hiking independently and had a great day in Olden in 20 degrees plus sunshine. We took a picnic from the buffet / grab and go, and enjoyed a lovely lunch by the lake which is less than an hour walk from the ship. ...
