We did the troll cars to the Briksdal glacier. Really enjoyed this! One of my favorite excursions. Lots of walking because the troll car only gets you so close, but you have the option of not walking closer to the glacier. Nice store at the end of the ride and a cafe for drinks and bathroom stop. Loved this! ...

Hard work getting up but so worth it. We took a grab and go breakfast with us and had a lovely picnic lunch at the top with glorious views in the sunshine. ...
We booked the coach to Bryksdal glacier. The journey there takes around 30 minutes and you pass through spectacular scenery. On reaching the foot of the glacier, it is around another 45 minute walk up. This is really not to be missed. We had fantastic weather which just enhanced the already fantastic scenery. ...
Beautiful setting and a trip to the glacier is a must. There is a 5€ public bus that takes you there, be warned though it's popular and can be a bit of a scrum! ...

The hike to glacier and back is about 6 km and it is not for the faint hearted.you can pay to use the trollies if you are unable to walk or find the the climb daunting. Oldies is totally walkable and no need for excursions. ...
