So So, Average, Meh, Mid, Boring

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Crown Princess

First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

Words to describe our first time on Princess: average, uninspired, meh, just ok. We usually cruise on Royal Caribbean or Norwegian, but since Crown Princess had a sailing out of SF during our ski week, we decided to try it. Going in, I knew it would be a smaller ship without the activities of an Oasis class RC ship. What I didn't expect was how average it all was. Nothing blew us away. We ...

Noisy Room!

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Crown Princess

Friends were traveling on this cruise ship and I was invited to go with them. They had a balcony room on 14. I had to pay double for a room because I was considered "traveling solo!" Public restrooms were horrible! Water was leaking from a light fixture in the ceiling while we were waiting for our room. That was a sign of things to come. Several leaks throughout the ship. Don't ...

Well a floating nursing home is how it is best described - that said we met some great people and visited some amazing places.

Overall trip was fantastic but first and last time with this line. Embarkation - Fast and easy - we walked on the ship and checked in in the Insignia Lounge to get ticked off we had watched the safety video then dropped our carry on off at our cabin and went for lunch all in under an hour. DINING/FOOD/DRINKS,- - we found waves, the food hall/Terrace all good with some daily changes in food ...

Ship's staff culture is unbothered, uninterested, and impolite

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ruby Princess

We have sailed the Ruby twice in the past year (two different itineraries) and are sad to report that it has continuously gotten worse. The other negative reviews you see below, for the Ruby, are not lying. The ship's condition, staff, and dining needs a major overhaul. We are Captain's Circle Platinum so I am not just being biased to another cruise line when I write this negative review. This ...

HOW DISAPPOINTING CAN A CRUISE BE????

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ruby Princess

We were so very disappointed with this cruise from the outset to our return! First, the princess app was the first disappointment. it oftentimes did not work and was ineffective. we tried doing everything right the first time to avoid any problems, but management of the app was just not on top of things. (a) i could not get my grandson into the green lane; i called several times, and we were ...

San Francisco to Alaska

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Carnival Miracle

Wanted to see Alaska again without traveling to Seattle or further--mistake San Francisco port is not worth it, never again. The line to drop luggage was an hour long, only 2 porters for 5000 people! Oh and no restrooms until heading to ship! Then another line to get to go inside terminal, we went to platinum and up line and it took twice as long as regular line, there were not enough carnival ...

Not our favorite cruise

We had to use cruise credits and didn't want to fly anywhere so it was really easy (we thought) going out of San Francisco as it is only an hour from our house and we can take the Vallejo Ferry to San Francisco. Great Ferry ride over the bay and called Lyft to take us to the Pier which is just under a mile. Took 35 minutes in the car as traffic was so bad (great driver though). Finally got to ...

Sad Decline for the Once Shinning Royal Princess

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Royal Princess

In 2015 we had cruised the Royal Princess in the Caribbean for 10 days and it was wonderful. The ship was less that two-years old, lots of activities, the food was great, service superior, and the ship shinned from stem to stern. It was very sad to see the declines of this once great line. The service is still very good, but the ship looks worn, and the only good food to be found was in ...

My wife and I sailed on Royal Princess Cruise 15 Nights to Hawaii from San Francisco (27 Mar – 11 Apr) I am Elite Captain’s Circle Member. Our Cabin Steward was excellent Elizalde. Also special praise for Mr Xavier (Guest Service Director) who was extremely helpful with a major issue I had with the Coffee Card/Elite Benefits. Let me start by saying that Royal Princess Cruise Ship is ...

Review for a North America River Cruise on American Jazz

User Avatar

Friends asked us to join them. This was supposed to be a cruise from San Francisco to the inland rivers of California and then back. It was hugely expensive (over 6K per person.) A week or so before the cruise, they informed us the cruise would not be leaving from San Francisco (no definitive reason given) but would start and end on the river in Sacramento, CA. We endured an uncomfortable 2+ ...
