NCL docks in the East pier out by the convention center - NOT directly in Old San Juan. $21 + $1 bag from airport to port. Much better choice than NCL transfer. I didn't do a NCL tour, but did a walking food tour of the old city that was really fun. Having been to San Juan several other times, we opted to only get off the ship and walk around for an hour or so. If this is a new port to a cruiser, I strongly suggest visiting the two forts and walk the streets of Old San Juan; preferably from the top to the bottom. The hills are much easier to walk down than up. ...

Puerto Rico: We rode the free tour train that took a very nice ride through the old town and the fort. Go to the center of town about a block from the port to get a sit on the open cars, it's difficult to find empty seats on the stop in front of the ship. Don't bother to go to Bacardi factory, it's $15 pp just to get in, an extra $25 for a bottle. Get on youtube to see the factory and buy a ...
