RCCL Asia cruise wasn't worth of our money

Review for a Asia Cruise on Spectrum of the Seas

The ship was old fashion and dull which is weird because it's only 5 years old. Food in free places like Windjammer, Pizza Sorrento etc. was awful and tasteless, no imagination has used. Samekind of food every day. Like week before cruise RCCL sent message that one of places where ship stops is cancelled that ship will stop only one plase in Vietnam and in Thailand. That change RCCL ...

Grand suite was certainly not grand!

Review for a Asia Cruise on Marella Discovery 2

We chose the Fascinating Far East cruise on Discovery 2 for the impressive itinerary. Although the pirt of Malacca was cancelled, we loved visiting Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. Food on board was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. This should have been a fantastic experience but unfortunately our grand suite (which cost over £7000 for 2 weeks) was anything but grand! The ...

Worthless trip in Westerdam Singapore to Yokohama

Review for a Asia Cruise on Westerdam

Visa Services: told to get a Chinese visa by Holland at a cost of $1000; ship offered them for free while underway. Guest Services barely apologized and offered no compensation. Excursions: over half the guides didn't speak English well enough to answer questions or give commentary, visited sites were repetitive and boring. It was clear Holland had done no quality control on their excursions or ...

Worst cruise, disgusting!

Review for a Asia Cruise on Diamond Princess

Cruise review I consider myself to be a fit and healthy 32 year old. Yet on this 10 night cruise I did not stand a chance !!!! I managed to catch not one but two viruses - gastro and the flu. So I was out for most of it and truly devastated. It was not surprising as staff do not enforce any hygiene protocols. Passengers used their hands to rummage and collect food in the buffet (multiple ...

Worst Experience in South East Asia

Review for a Asia Cruise on Westerdam

I choose this cruise because I was looking forward to exploring and getting to know SE Asia. It was a terrible experience overall. The ports of call were in dirty, large cities where it was difficult to get out of the city areas without taking long bus rides. The tours were long, boring and we could barely understand the guides. When we went to the shore excursion desk, they didn't know anything ...

A Disappointing Experience Aboard Celebrity Solstice

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

I recently had the unfortunate experience of cruising on the Celebrity Solstice, and regrettably, my overall impression is far from positive. The cruise was marred by a series of disappointments, primarily centered around the lackluster service and subpar amenities. From the onset, the service on the ship left much to be desired. Rather than creating a relaxing environment, the staff seemed ...

Poorly organised throughout

Thigs went wrong right from the beginning when we arrived after flying overnight and our transferred, which was included in the cost of the cruise, failed to turn up and we had to make our own way to the ship. We then spent three hours waiting to check-in, which was unacceptable. Once on board we found lifts out of order and several toilets and sinks in the public areas also out of order, and ...

I've done 20 fantastic cruises with other companies . This one was HORRIBLE!! PLEASE READ. Chose this cruise for Komodo island but destination was cancelled months before. I still went as thought I'd enjoy sauna facilities. Day 1 of cruise was told sauna/steam facilities will not work for entire cruise. Another couple on board said they were on previous cruise to Australia Singapore and ...

Asian cruise. We chose RC because of itinery and ship. Did not want to eat food locally and chose RC as we thought the food would be good as our previous RC cruises had been. However it was canteen food served warm at best. Was fed up of sending back food that we could not eat because it was cold. Waiters badly trained. Too many tables squashed together in MDR. My time dining non exisent. ...

High expectations but instead disappointed

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

Cabin review is below. Been on more than 10 cruises e.g. Celebrity, Princess, NCL, Costa, etc. Bottom line it is old and shows it. The ship itself if not impressive. Worse yet was staff. It seems like they was no synergy and each person acted on their own with little regard to customer service. At embarkation waited and given a color. Rows of seats. Once called e.g. red, person ...
