Embarkation was a problem. We got on in Wellington, and it seemed the cruise line was not that interested / prepared for the mid-cruise embarkation. Had to wait in the wind for nearly an hour while visitors got off the ship, and then we had to lug our own luggage to the room. Other passengers also said disembarking at ports of call was chaotic and a long process.

The balcony cabin was on the small side, and the bathroom would have been challenging to anyone with a BMI over 25. The balcony was tiny, but the room very tidy and well serviced. 

Dining was only just acceptable.Choices at lunch and dinner were limited, and it almost appeared to be designed for the passenger to look seriously at the "pay-for" restaurants. We found the best of these, by far to be the Blue Lagoon.

The shows were really pretty good, although at times following any story line was pretty hard. They were a highlight of the cruise. The casino was huge, and expensive. As an example, when playing roulette on other ships, single chips are either 1 or sometimes 2 dollars. Chips here were $5. The casino was for high rollers, not occasional fun punters. Trivia games were well run, although language issues sometimes got in the way.

Drinks packages were good, and wine (not brilliant) was well priced. Major problem was hidden costs - 18% service charge - 15% NZ GST. On disembarkation, they even tried to charge $20 per day per passenger gratuity. We refused to pay and the charge went away.

Limited public rooms had to be used for multiple purposes at the same time. There was an exclusive smoker's room and also quite a large deck area for smokers (with the most comfortable chairs)

A great positive was the lack of roaming ship photographers. If you wanted these you could book a session.

The "Palace" is an exclusive area that has no place in an Australasian tour! I hope the cruise line gets this. If not, its time down under is limited.

In general this is a cruise line that is trying to break into the Australasian market. If they take "on board" the feedback from their time down under, they may survive, and even do well. If not, then "goodbye", there are a number of other cruise lines that understand the market.
