I wanted to embark from San Francisco and the timing of this was perfect for spring break. The embarkation and disembarkation were extremely smooth and trouble free. The ship is very efficiently run. I loved how the docking in San Diego and Ensenada were very close to downtown. The tendering in Santa Barbara was very slow with over a 30 minute line heading back to the ship for the last 2 hours ...
We are seniors who love cruising, often staying on board while in port. We rarely avail ourselves to bingo, art auctions, or trivia, preferring the relaxing experience of cruising and the excellent service & food.
Our loyalty to Princess gives us elite status, so we enjoy the free laundry and internet, not to mention(But I am about to) the mini bar set ups & shop discounts.
We truly come ...
Having booked in club class, embarkation was a breeze. We got white glove service and soon where in our suite and met our steward.
The ship is large and at first seemed overwhelming, however after a few times walking around, we got our headings and it was quick and easy to get around.
The elevators seemed to take a long time, and since we usually walked the stairs it didn't really matter to ...
This particular itinerary appeals to me; sailing out of and back to San Francisco. I've sailed this itinerary many times for the ease of access. The airport at San Francisco easy to navigate and Customs personnel at the Port accomodating.
I'd like to see additional spring sailings out of San Francisco; ideally later in the spring when the weather would be warmer and drier. The last several ...
We choose this cruise for a quick short getaway. Even tho the ship just came out of dry dock two weeks ago, we didn't have too many things go wrong. Yes, we did have water issues with the shower one day, but was seen to quickly.
The service and food was excellent in the main dining room. Horizon Court buffet had a nice variety of food.
There was a Great comedian on board, Carlos Oscar! ...
Except for embarkation the cruise was very well done. The Royal Princess is a beautiful ship in great condition. It did not seem nearly as large as it was. The executive lounge for suites was great. Breakfast in Sabatini’s for suites was great. Club class dining was very good with only one bad experience. We eat early and there was never a wait for a two top. Service was outstanding. For ...
This was our first cruise experience. We chose this cruise for the itinerary and timing. Embarkation and debarkation is close to where we live. Additionally, the timing coincided with spring break.
It's a big ship and fun to find my way around. There is plenty to do at all hours. However, my stateroom was not ready at the designated time.
One of the highlights for us was dining. From formal ...
Like the itinerary with lots of Sea days to rest and recharge. Also got to see Darwin Australia, Kaohsiung(Taiwan) besides the usual Sydney, Brisbane, Singapore, Phu My(Vietnam) and Hong Kong.
Ship was big, and nice. Room was a mini suite(upgraded from a premium balcony), very comfortable, Excellent room service. Sea was calm until South China sea.
Mostly Australian on the ship with lots ...
Majestic Princess is one of the new ships that have been launched over the past five years.
The newer ships are no where as good as the older ships.
The design of the new ships has been at the expense of the customer. Getting more cabins means a number of features have been compromised. Ships like the Diamond had a beautiful promenade deck that went all around the vessel. The Majestic has ...
We’ve done a few cruises with other liners and they were so much better than the Princess if you are between 70 - 90 yrs old, then this slow paced ship is designed for you it was boring. The same program almost every day. The constant pushing and harassment to get you to buy on board all the very overpriced things suggesting markdowns, discounts, buy buy buy! The staff are friendly enough, it’s ...
