We did a considerable amount of research for our Alaskan cruise before choosing the Seven Seas Mariner.
The ship presents itself with such class and attention to every detail. The embarkation was organised and stress free. The suite was more than we expected for three of us ( our adult daughter shared the suite with us in the ‘lounge area’ of the suite. The bathroom was a good size with lovely ...
We have Cruised with Regent before and always found it great, however this Alaskan Cruise left a lot to be desired.
We stayed at the Regent recommended Anchorage Hilton which certainly was not up to the standard we would expect....Most passengers arrived later in the day but there was little or no food available as the Coffee Shop was closed and the restaurant only opened for restricted hours ...
Oceania Regatta was our choice because of the size of the ship, the itinerary, the length of the cruise, and the reputation for excellent food. The cruise delivered on all fronts.
The restaurants, particularly Toscana, were excellent. I haven't had so much foie gras in years -- always in a different preparation each night.
The entertainment was very good. As good or better than Vegas ...
This was wife and my first cruise on Oceania’s Regata. The entire experience was a delight. Our stateroom, a deluxe ocean view cabin, was comfortable and maintained perfectly by our cabin steward. The food was amazing—all the food—in every restaurant and dining room. The Grill offered not only the usual burgers and hot dogs, but also lobster and filet mignon! The service was extraordinary, in ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and our previous experiences on the Regatta. The three star rating is an average between excellent food and dining experience, poor stateroom accommodations and very poor service with luggage delivery upon embarkation.
One of our suitcases was not delivered because the room tag had fallen off. When we inquired about it we got excuses and ...
Like many people, Alaska was on my "bucket list". We've always and only sailed with NCL. Originally we were booked on the Sun, but our ship was changed to the Jewel. We were happy with this and even more pleased when our balcony cabin was upgraded to an aft mini suite. It was fantastic to be on our balcony out of the wind to view the amazing scenery.
We like Jewel as it is small enough to ...
We chose this cruise because of the last minute deal that made it affordable to visit Alaska.
The Jewel is a nice ship, well kept with all the normal amenities. The room was fine, we had an oceanview stateroom on Deck 5.
The entertainment on the Jewel was top notch. We attended every show and enjoyed all of them.
The excursions were all excellent and easy to board, returned on time, ...
This was our first trip to Alaska, and from planning through our disembarkation it was a wonderful experience. The ship is beautiful, the crew were all friendly and helpful and we enjoyed just about all the amenities available. This ship is smaller than the Dream, and we met many wonderful families who we saw several times on the trip. We had a verandah room, which was in great shape, and well ...
My wife had received a casino at sea entitlement and we were looking forward to an Alaskan Cruise. The ship was excellent but showed a need for yard work on the hull and balcony stanchions. The cabin was in exceptional shape and was kept that way by the effort of the cabin steward. He took great pride in keeping the cabin spotless and was very personable to us and other guest. He was also quite ...
