This was the floating Nursing Home! Unless you are a Senior Citizen don`t go on this ship. We are not exactly young ( 55) however the average age of passengers must have been 75 plus.Entertainment was poor although it probably suited the older passengers. Food was very average with same choices in the buffet every day - very little change to the menu.

This ship was completely unprepared for this repositioning cruise from Shanghai to Sydney.
The service in the dining room was the slowest and most incompetant Ive ever experienced.
We had anytime dining, which should have been called queue up and wait a long time.
When we finally got a table we mostly got only one waiter for a table for 8.

We choose this cruise because it was a new ship and the Destination was Australia.
The all over experince was good with most services up to expectation and some exceeding expectation. However there was an unacceptable amount of short coming in PR.

Other reviewers have referred to the debacle that was our boarding in Shanghai. A two to four-hour wait in the Asian heat was just the beginning of our worst cruise of more than twenty so far.
This ship is shockingly, badly designed. On board there is no sensation of being at sea, due to the enclosed nature of all of the public areas. There are not enough lounge seats for more than 3500 ...

Wanted to see some of Asia and this one was shown to us.Enjoyed it very much.
Embarkation was a nightmare though , something has to be done about it if a ship leaves Shanghai, no thanks to the Chinese government, we think.
Dining room food leaves a lot to be desired, was disappointing. It was the first time we chose to miss dinner there, at least 5 nights.

We were very excited to be sailing on Majestic Princess to Australia and after veiwing videos sent to us by Princess on what we could expect, we had high expectations. What a let down. Spent 22 days on the Majestic and wish we had not spent a single night on board.
The boarding was hell, the food wasnt very good and the any time dining simply didnt work out. Unless we ate at 5.45 we would have to wait ages for a table even though they werent all full.

My elderly mother and I chose this cruise for the interesting south east Asia itinerary, and the chance to get on the newest and largest ship in the Princess fleet. It was so disappointing. The main reason for me to do this cruise was that this ship was going to Vietnam where I was sent in 1967 as a National Serviceman to see the changes in the region I was in and to take my wife.
