The best term to describe this cruise is "uneven." Some aspects of the cruise were quite good, and others unbelievably bad.
The Good:
1. The Silhouette is spotlessly clean. I don't remember seeing any area of the ship that needed attention.

We are Elite Captain's Club members but we felt that there was little recognition given on this cruise. Our "priority embarkation" was no faster than the normal embarkation. We tried the Elite "coffee club" breakfast twice enticed by the offer of quality coffee but found harried staff, poor service, crowded venues, and poor coffee. We had a really bad storm in the Atlantic that necessitated changing the itinerary we ended up with 10 sea days where 9 of these days it was impossible to go on deck. We have always wanted to sail into New York passed the Statue of Liberty. It was a wonderful experience and were not disappointed! Leaving New York at night was spectacular.

Wanted to try a new cruise line. We were attracted by the departure port and the variety of activities. We were not disappointed! Embarkation was a breeze. We had a Grand Suite (lowest end of Sky Class). Lovely room, although the brown color scheme was dull. We always enjoy TransAtlantic cruises. This was our 5th trip. We enjoy the many "At Sea" days, sitting in the Solarium ( due to weather ) and reading books, or talking with other guests in the Hot Tubs!

We choose this cruise for the ship, as we had not been on the Anthem of the Seas. The ship was impressive, but it lacked good food, unless you paid extra, and a lot of the crew seemed to be lazy. Best time of year for my time off.
Embarking ship in Cape Liberty was very efficient and took very little time.
Bermuda is an excellent island and safe to get around. Transportation on the island is very user friendly. Would have preferred Caribbean islands but were not available for the time I needed.
