Fascinating itinerary, but flawed execution

Review for a Africa Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

There are going to be a lot of very negative reviews for this cruise, and there were many problems with it. There were four missed ports, an itinerary change after final deposits were made, and a lot of difficulties with ports that were visited. Additionally, the passengers on this cruise were exceptionally savvy travelers, and exceptionally sophisticated and experienced frequent cruisers with ...

Disappointing

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

This was my first time to cruise with Regent and was unimpressed. On the whole the service was good but felt they had a lot of new staff being trained. The suite was a good size, as was the bathroom, separate shower and a full size bath which unfortunately was too narrow to use. The floor leaked and they seemed to have no idea how to rectify it. We eventually had to change suites as ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

Have cruised many times, usually on P and O, this time we flew to Tenerife, cruised around Canaries, Madeira, mainland Spain, Sardinia, and Greece. We really enjoyed the ports, flights were good too. The staff on board Azura were lovely, very hard working and always willing to please. Our cabin was a balcony and light and airy, but showing its age. However, we found all the cutbacks took ...

We have cruised many times and have cruised with Thompson/Tui/ Marella many time and most of their ships since the Dream. We have always enjoyed them - until now. This was a 17 night transatlantic crossing from Jamaica, Turks and caicos, Bermuda, Azure, Cadiz etc. the weather wasn’t good, we had to divert, 5 metre high waves in the Atlantic for over 2 days and very little sun - it no fault is ...

Noisy and congested

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Marella Explorer

The ship is smart and kept clean and tidy. There is a large crew of very efficient staff who are friendly, polite and always willing and available to give top-notch service. The ship is a good size and easy to find one’s way around. Embarking and disembarking are quick and efficient. The cabins with balconies are compact with good storage and are well serviced with a nightly ...

Disappointing cost cutting by P&O!

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Iona

Having enjoyed previous cruises with P&O and the itinerary suited our need to celebrate a birthday, we booked a cruise to Spain and Portugal. The ship is beautiful but the quality of the food and the service has declined over recent times. The daytime entertainment was poor with most events designed to 'sell' rather than entertain! No live music until mid afternoon yet the lounge was often full. ...

Always our favourite cruise company going downhill

We didn't realise that we were going to a holiday camp. In fairness I have to say that the cleanliness, cabins, shows, restaurants and staff service and attitudes were excellent, however we have travelled many times with Thomson and Marella and as soon as they went all inclusive their product became Benidorm. You are supposed to at least wear "tailored" shorts in the restaurant but they were ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

We chose infinity after traveling on solstice and we're very impressed. Sadly the infinity is no where near the same class. It is shabby and much of the decks are rusty. The food in main dining room can only be described as school dinner type food. Very little choice and basic . The entertainment in bars is again very basic with little audience engagement. The staff work very hard but ...

We have cruised with p.o very many times and i have to say that we have always had a very enjoyable time, our last cruise was in 2019 we did have three cruises booked after covid but p.o but they were cancelled as we had never been away for a chrismas and new year cruise we transferred one of our outstanding booking to arcadia.
